Day One - Arrival in Moffat and Chief's Reception

Day One was Saturday - for most of us it had sorted of blended over from Friday when we left our homes in the US on Friday afternoon, flew to Detroit, or New York or other major airports, then on to Amsterdam and then to Glasgow or Edinburgh.

We had the afternoon in Moffat to look around, and get acquainted prior to the Chief's Reception at the Moffat House Hotel on Saturday evening.

We stayed here along with Commander Al and Marcy, Travel Al and his daughter assistants, Robert and Frances Moffitt (and others I forget).

We were very well looked after by our hosts Allan and Helen.

"Moffat House Hotel" - headquarters for the week's activities. Many of the visitors stayed there.

Various Moffats at the Chief's Reception held at Moffat House Hotel on Saturday evening.

Sadly the occasion to wear the finery was marred for many people by their luggage not having arrived in Scotland with them.

More Moffats enjoying the fare and friendship at the Chief's Reception. Dick Badger reaching out for food from Judy Paska's plate.
